The Lonestar Math Cup was a great SUCCESS! The students of Texas have done an incredible job doing math and competing. In fact, over Thanksgiving break alone, Texas students completed 428,380 math problems. During the Lonestar Math Cup, the percentage of math problems completed during evenings and weekends surged to 37.2% of all work done on Think Through Math.
The Vargas Class from Woodland Acres Elementary in Galena Park, TX won the Lonestar Math Cup!
What makes this win even more impressive is that 47% of the lessons completed by this very special class occurred during the nights and weekends. When combined with work completed over the Thanksgiving break, this class won the Lonestar Math Cup by putting forth the extra effort needed to become great math students!
